Robert J. Bartel has been practicing labor and employment law since 1981. He joined the firm in 1981 and became a shareholder in 1986. His practice emphases are in collective bargaining, union activity, including unlawful picketing, and secondary boycotts. Bob has successfully negotiated numerous collective bargaining contracts and achieved positive results for both management and employees. He also represents employer's interests in mergers and acquisitions.
Bob is a frequent presenter to employers and associations on discipline and discharge and changes in federal and state employment law. In addition, he leads Krukowski & Costello programs on collective bargaining.
Bob has written numerous articles on a wide variety of labor and employment issues such as affirmative discipline, wrongful discharge, the ADA, and the FMLA for the National Moving & Storage Association, the National Utility Contractors Association, the Wisconsin Underground Contractors Association and the Wisconsin Plumbing Contractors.
He is admitted to practice in all Wisconsin state courts and before the U.S. District Courts in the Eastern and Western districts of Wisconsin.
