Discrimination and Affirmative Action

Krukowski & Costello, S.C. assists employers with all aspects of equal employment opportunity compliance. This includes the development and auditing of affirmative action programs and compliance with all federal contractor executive orders.

The firm is active in helping employers take preventative measures by developing procedures and practices that are in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act, and other laws prohibiting discrimination. Assistance is provided in the review of job applications, employee testing, and selection criteria in performance evaluations. The firm also works with employers to develop policies regarding sexual harassment and helps communicate those policies to executives, managers, and employees.

Krukowski & Costello assists clients in implementing reduction in force programs including the review of retirement benefit programs, voluntary severance, procurement of age discrimination releases, and analysis of selection criteria.

When clients have faced litigation, the firm has successfully defended many multiple plaintiff claims as well as class action claims. The firm has handled more than 500 cases before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and related state and local agencies. The firm's national practice takes its attorneys to U.S. District Courts and state courts throughout the country.
